Big economic boom in Basra

Not all regions of Iraq have been impacted by sectarian violence. The oil hub of Basra is seeing a big boom in economic growth. Frederik Pleitgen takes us to Iraq's second largest city.

While in Basra, Frederik Pleitgen discovered that the sport of boxing can transcend language barriers... And it turns out Fred isn't bad in the ring!

Not a holiday there, but how about Independence day (could be iaimlsr to the Guy Fawkes templates, with fireworks, etc)? A birthday template? As for Thanksgiving, think: Turkeys, colored corn cobs, too much food on a plate (or a cornucopia with vegetables pouring out corn is big), football (the kind where you use your hands), Pilgrims and Indians (not the real Indians from India, but Native Americans ). Cinco De Mayo might be another one, although only celebrated, really, in the US (not even Mexico) but lots of spending for that day. Actually come to think of it how about a string of Templates based around different country cultures. In that country could be used for all sorts of events and special occasions and out side of the country could even be used as travel special sales pages, etc.

Why not have Hilary as president, Obama as VP., John Ed. as sec. of state, and joe B. as anehotr cabinet member? Why must they "fight" for the top position? Better yet, why don't they pool their talents and make an outstanding team of Democrats that can really make a change for the US and other world leaders?

Kudos for creating a blog post on this topic. There is not enuogh information written about it (not particularly helpful anyway). It is encouraging to see it getting a little bit more coverage. Thanks again!

Very disturbing inrtveiew and disappointing how both Morgan and Dershowitz are so biased to the point of bizarre behavior and emotionalism undermining debating skills. At best they looked very foolish... Concerning Dershowitz, he wrote a article in Front Page regarding his disagreement with the prosecutor in the Zimmerman Case in Florida, which appeared much more composed than the inrtveiew with Morgan. Again, your advocacy for reason is appreciated by many people! All the best...
